Microsoft has released IE Cumulative Security Update for Oct ‘08. The security update addresses six vulnerabilities by modifying the way that Internet Explorer handles the error resulting in the exploitable condition. This security update is rated Critical for all supported versions of Internet Explorer 6 and earlier. The security update is rated Important on Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista.  Beta versions of Internet Explorer are not vulnerable.

The update is available via Windows Update, alternatively, you can receive this and all other Microsoft updates via the new Microsoft Update.
