Search Engine Roundtable reports that over the weekend, Google updated the toolbar PageRank values. Google’s Matt Cutts basically confirmed the update before it happened, saying:

I wouldn’t be surprised if new PageRanks started showing up this weekend or so.

Also, a WebmasterWorld thread reports that Yahoo Search is shuffling their search results, several webmasters’ve noticed changes. There is also a DigitalPoint Forums thread discussing a spike in traffic from one webmaster.  Yahoo Search Blog yet to confir the update.

Both these updates are called as the “Rosh Hashanah 5769” PageRank Update to celebrate the Jewish New Year, year 5769.
