Associated Press switches tech providers for Web video network
The Associated Press said it’s switching technology providers for its online video network, changing from a system run by Microsoft to one from thePlatform, a video system owned by cable operator Comcast Corp.
The AP, a not-for-profit cooperative, launched the ad-supported online video network in late 2006 and uses it to provide news videos to more than 2,000 newspaper, broadcast and other media Web sites throughout the United States.
