Windows Vista security updates – (Sep 2 – Sep 8)
Last week, 7 Windows 6.0 products related hot-fix KB articles were released, including 5 for Windows Vista Enterprise Client, 2 for Windows Vista Consumer Desktop. Below are the details:
Windows Vista Enterprise Client - 5 KB articles:
- 957126 Error message when you try to resume a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 from hibernation: "STOP 0x0000009F"
- 957018 You may receive a "STOP 0x0000007B" error message on a Windows Server 2008 Itanium version-based computer that has Qlogic 8G Fibre Channel cards installed
- 952585 Offline file icons randomly change to different icons every time that you refresh the desktop on a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008
- 952584 The index of an Office 2007-based offline file is removed from the Windows Search index if you save the file when you work offline on a Windows Vista-based or a Windows Server 2008-based computer
- 949671 Offline files that are ghost items on a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 cannot be synchronized with the corresponding files on a file server
Windows Vista Consumer Desktop - 2 KB articles:
- 956554 A hotfix is available that fixes certain media playback problems on Windows Vista-based computers
- 955991 The Country/Region settings may be missing when you view the properties for a modem on a computer that is running Windows Vista SP1 or Windows Server 2008
