Earlier Dave Shea wrote about CSS Sprites, he is back with CSS Sprites 2 and walks us through using JavaScript libraries. He picks jQuery. He reasons “ jQuery is a maturing JavaScript library that does the same neat stuff as all the other JavaScript libraries, and it has an additional advantage that lends itself particularly well to extending CSS Sprites: jQuery allows us to select elements on a page using a CSS-like syntax that we already know.”
