Template tags is a really good thing in WordPress. Unfortunately there are some tags missing. This plugin provide WordPress users with extra template tags. It can be used in themes or plugins. To prevent future function collisions, an underscore has been put before every template tag. The WordPress team might delvelop these template tags later.
