SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1 Server Tools installs replication components on the computer running the Internet Information Services (IIS) for synchronizing data, using merge replication and remote data access (RDA), between SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1 database on Windows desktops and mobile devices, and database servers running SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008. This installation is not required for Synchronization Services for ADO.NET.
