Jeff Weir and John Lynn work in the Microsoft Live Labs team (that’s the group that created Photosynth). They also have a couple of Surface units in their office. So the two of them came up with an idea to build a little application called Shadow Box (or unofficially ”nightmare box”) that ‘burns’ in and out images of what the infrared camera inside the surface sees. The end result is both awesome and spooky!
