Microsoft this week added workflow capabilities to BizTalk Services, the company's platform-in-the-cloud project for service-oriented architecture (SOA) and business process management.
The R12 Community Technology Preview for BizTalk Services, the 12th version of the project, offers workflow-enabling service orchestration from the cloud. These services can connect to enterprise systems or to systems running anywhere on the Internet.

MSMobiles reports that Microsoft has launched Windows Mobile Applications directory. It requires Silverlight to work and has no search function and lists only less important programs for e.g: the best GPS program - TomTom - is not listed at all in GPS category!). Intel Turbo Memory (ITM) is an integrated nonvolatile (NV) caching solution. ITM works together with Microsoft RAID, and it introduces support for caching of a RAID device. This NV caching solution requires that NV cache commands be sent to the RAID device. In Windows Vista, the NV cache commands can be sent only to HDC-class devices.
