Enhanced Links is a  jQuery based WordPress plugin that allows you to get better control on how your links are listed. It provides a widget which lets you get more options than the default WordPress links widget (show image, description, etc.). The plugin can be used as Widget in sidebar, can be directly integrated in your theme, or you can call it in your posts using Exec-PHP plugin with following simple code.
