As the world’s premier student technology competition, the Imagine Cup is one way Microsoft Corp. is encouraging young people to apply their imagination, passion and creativity to technology innovations that can make a difference in the world — today.

The Imagine Cup, now in its sixth year, is an example of Microsoft’s Unlimited Potential commitment to creating social and economic opportunity through programs and products that transform education, foster local innovation, and enable jobs and opportunities worldwide. More than 100,000 students from over 100 countries entered the 2007 competition. The numbers for Imagine Cup 2008 have already surpassed last year’s, with more than 150,000 students registered as of the first of the year.
