Ext JS released the latest version of the Ext JS toolkit and the introduction of a new product, Ext GWT 1.0. The Ext JS version has been updated to 2.1 and includes new components, performance improvements, bug fixes and documentation enhancements. Ext GWT 1.0, is a Java library for building rich internet applications with the Google Web Toolkit (GWT). So from today, you can use ExtJS in your open source project compatible with GPLv3, otherwise you have to buy a commercial license. Pricing start from $289 for single developer to $14,449 for enterprise having up to 100 developers.

Ext JS is a cross-browser JavaScript library for building rich internet applications, while Ext GWT is a Java library for building rich internet applications with GWT.
