Recently several people complained of receiving spam in Google Calendar, that automatically adds an event to the calendar with a description containing:

“Dear Beloved, I am Mrs Katarzyna Stanislava … I am married to Mr.Fred Chec who worked with Kuwait Embassy in the Netherlands for nine years before he died [...]”

To prevent this from happening, you need to follow these steps, according to Google Calendar support:

  1. Switch to your calendar settings (the general tab)
  2. Next to the label “Automatically add invitations to my calendar”, check the No box.
  3. Hit Save
