Microsoft is working with some folks to help show off IE8 at mix.  Here is one such add-in from Me.dium.

Me.dium is releasing a special version to support the first public demonstration of IE8 today at 1 p.m during the Open Space Session.

The new Me.dium features were specifically designed to highlight the new functionality introduced in IE8, including “Webslices” and “Activities.”

Me.dium is a real-time, social browsing sidebar application that enables users to surf the Web with friends, see popular sites online and discover new people and places based on the activity of others.

Me.dium helps surfers discover and view new “WebSlices” directly from the sidebar.

Me.dium’s “Discover” Activity gives you recommendations, related to a page or selected key words, which are influenced by the real time surfing activity of all Me.dium users.

Me.dium is a member of the MSFT Start-Up Accelerator Program. Me.dium’s browser-sidebar-extension is the recommended add-on for IE on Windows Market Place.

IE8 Beta users can download the Me.dium Discovery Activity for IE8 from https://me.dium.com/ie8/

Hey! Lots of changes since this article came out, but thought I'd come out with an update! When IE8 Beta 2 was launched, some very cool features with Me.dium came with it! Webslices, accelerators, and social search can all enhance your browser! Check out http://blogme.dium.com/content.....nd-medium/ for a great demo video. (It only takes about 2 mins!) Thanks!
