First of all - Google are NOT going to buy Bigmir, they just made cooperation with Bigmir in key of their program Google Google Apps Gmail and since the end of 2007 provide users of mailboxes @Bigmir use their mail with all advantages of interface Gmail.

Second - Bigmir is not the leading portal in Ukraine,only between number 2 and 3  

I can say even more - Yandex already started moving to Europe - i wrote about it in my blog - http://russia20.com/2008/02/yandex-in-europe/
