Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! able to fix a lot of problems, including taskbar missing, minimized programs missing, show missing icons in notification area, restore show desktop icon in quick launch area, and etc. Basically, this program is a collection of registry files or VB script which can modify your windows registry. You can go to the website and look for the VB script for certain features.
When you choose to fix any problems or change the settings on your system, you can always look at the description before click the repair button. After you fix or change the settings, you may need to restart your system. This application is only for Windows XP, as Windows Vista will have different registry settings with XP.

Taskbar Repair Tool Plus May work for some things, but it does NOT fix an XP Taskbar stuck in Classic mode - and I even paid the $5.00 to open up that repair option.
I am betting it has something to do with a registry entry somewhere - but where and which one??? All files that have to do with it have been replaced from the Install disc, plus a repair (both ways) has been done on the system, still no joy.
