Technorati updates Blog Rankings process
Technorati has made system changes for counting inbound links to determine blog rankings. They were earlier counting all links made to a given domain(irrespective of whether it’s a TLD, sub-domain), for e.g. links made to xyz.example.com were also counted/added to example.com.
Technorati VP Engineering Dorion Carroll explains the change. There is still a massive amount of fraud links counted by Technorati in their Top Blogs list. I’m hoping that their newfound focus will lead to further changes.[Techcrunch]
This had some effect on the Technorati 100 list.
