Streaming21, the world leader in broadcast-quality streaming solutions, and WNC (TSE:6285), a global leader in wireless communications and IPTV, will showcase their Windows Home Server innovations for future digital home January 7-10 at 2008 International CES in Las Vegas. A new digital home innovation, aimed at connecting the digital home via seamless connectivity between contents, services and digital devices, will make its international public debut at the show.

Featured will be WNC’s WiFi Media Frame, embedded with Streaming21’s Home Entertainment Services, which can extend digital home applications to multiple locations in the home (such as the kitchen, study room, play room, living room or bedroom). The stylish WiFi Media Frame, with a 7-inch wide screen and built-in rear speaker, enables many interesting new services to fulfill users’ daily infotainment needs, like personal content (photo, music, video), and rich Internet applications (Internet Radio, web photo albums, Podcasts, RSS news feeds, weather forecast, stocks and more).

WNC’s powerful IP set-top box, versatile WiFi Media Frame and reliable server hardware plus Streaming21’s innovative Home Entertainment Services are seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Windows Home Server. The open web-based platform makes it easy to add unlimited applications for service expansions, and allows users to subscribe to their preferred services via Home Server. The unique Home Server also allows users to manage personal content (such as photos, videos and music), enjoy internet community content (online photo albums and video sharing for example) and display real-time Internet content (Internet news, weather, stocks and more) on TVs or other consumer electronics devices. It also offers many intriguing features such as Personal Video Recording (PVR), streaming music, IPTV, VOD, Internet Radio and much more. Personal broadcasting and commercial content services such as movie rentals or home karaoke services are forthcoming.
