Zumobi Beta for Windows Mobile
Zumobi, formerly ZenZui, is an open, device-neutral user interface for mobile web browsing & content delivery that was initially developed by the Microsoft Research lab in Redmond, Washington. Now an independent company, Zumobi is preparing to launch public beta testing for Windows Mobile devices on December 14th. The Zumobi Zooming User Interface technology called "Tiles" uses colorful tiles that look like iPhone widgets or desktop icons for accessing mobile web content. This responsive, high-framerate interface allows mobile users to easily zoom in and out of mobile web content quickly, as the technology uses background data caching to make the the content readily available. The caching also lets you access the mobile web content when you're out of wireless range. Windows Mobile users can sign up for the beta here. The rest of us can just view the demo and wait patiently for our turn.
