SMobile Systems says it has developed the first mobile security solution for handsets based on the Android SDK of the Open Handset Alliance. Called “Security Shield”, the software includes antivirus, anti-spam and firewall applications.

SMobile plans on adapting the “remainder” of their applications to the Android platform “in the coming weeks and months”.
