You didn’t read the title wrong -- Microsoft will give you 10 free Live Arcade titles for your Xbox on one condition. That condition is you get a friend to buy an Xbox 360 console. To sweeten the deal further, your friend also gets 10 free games.

In order to qualify, all you have to do is write down the serial numbers of your own and your friend’s new Xbox console. Then go to the official Microsoft site and download the entry form and send that along with the sales receipt for the new Xbox to Microsoft. The console must be purchased between October 1 and December 14, 2007, to qualify for the free games.

That isn’t a bad offer if you know someone who is about to buy a 360, and Microsoft is hoping you will put a bit of pressure on any friends you have that don’t. There are some excellent games on Live Arcade, so head over to the official website to check out the full list.
