Today at TechEd EMEA Microsoft announced 11 partners who will support SQL Server 2008 Spatial. It is really exciting to see the industry build momentum around this powerful new feature.

As Roger pointed out on his blog, he and I have been working on demos for Spatial and it’s actually much easier to use then it may first appear. Once CTP5 hits the street I highly recommend taking a look. Roger and I will be posting a Spatial sample in conjunction with CTP5.

We have been working with beta releases of some of the products from the Partners who were announced today. I’m confident that there will be broad industry support and great tools available.
