Here’s some more FAQ’s that you might find interesting on the back of my post last week about general licensing FAQ.

Q) Does a Windows Server 2003 licence allow you to switch between 32 and 64 bit platforms (cross platform rights)?

A) It depends on how you bought the Windows 2003 Server licence:

· Windows Server 2003 licences purchased through the OEM channel have cross platform rights, however, Microsoft cannot provide support, product keys or media.

· Windows Server 2003 licences purchased through a volume licensing agreement have cross platform rights. The product key will be found on eOpen/MVLS and you can order the media from a reseller

Q) How do I license Office through Terminal Services?

A) Click here to view the latest in-depth terminal server licensing document.

Q) What types of licence purchasing options and Vista editions can I enrol in Software Assurance?

A) Click here to see if your Vista FPP/OEM edition qualifies to be enrolled into Software Assurance.
