Maybe the folks at Crytek ironed out the very last bug, or maybe they were just waiting for the release of a mid-range graphics card with enough horsepower to run their game well, but Crysis has finally gone gold. As Shacknews reports, the upcoming first-person shooter is now complete and ready to hit manufacturing, and it’s on track for its North American and European release date of November 16. (Once again, Aussies and New Zealanders will get first dibs on the game on November 15.)
Shacknews quotes Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli as stating, “We are extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish with Crysis.” Yerli also gushes, “We wanted to push the boundaries both visually and with open-ended, non-linear gameplay and we believe the end result delivers that vision.”
