Tom Mertens: Recently we launched a pilot of MSDN Ramp Up, the online learning program to gain and evaluate your .NET development skills with Visual Studio 2005. Jenny, my colleague from Sweden, has created a Facebook group for MSDN Ramp Up that you can join if you are in any way interested in the program.

If you don't know MSDN Ramp Up yet: the program offers different learning paths towards .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005. Each learning path is specifically created for different people with different starting skills, such as:

  • beginning or aspiring developers
  • Visual Basic 6.0 developers
  • Java developers
  • Visual Studio .NET 2002/2003 developers

The learning experience consists of texts, virtual online labs, webcasts, excerpts from Microsoft Press books, ... At the end of each stage, you can test your knowledge with an online assessment.
