Tom Mertens: Recently we launched a pilot of MSDN Ramp Up, the online learning program to gain and evaluate your .NET development skills with Visual Studio 2005. Jenny, my colleague from Sweden, has created a Facebook group for MSDN Ramp Up that you can join if you are in any way interested in the program.

If you don’t know MSDN Ramp Up yet: the program offers different learning paths towards .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005. Each learning path is specifically created for different people with different starting skills, such as:

  • beginning or aspiring developers
  • Visual Basic 6.0 developers
  • Java developers
  • Visual Studio .NET 2002/2003 developers

The learning experience consists of texts, virtual online labs, webcasts, excerpts from Microsoft Press books, … At the end of each stage, you can test your knowledge with an online assessment.
