Nintendo has launched a new firmware update for the Wii, adding among other things support for USB keyboard input.

The update finally allows users to use any USB keyboard to enter text in the Wii's Internet browser. A few other adjustments have been made to the console's Web surfing functionality.

Users can now send links to other Wii users, and a "copy/paste" feature has been added so users can copy a line of text and then paste it in a search box or the URL field.
