Microsoft has sworn that it will compete with Google at every single level be it search Engine, online advertising, online videos or for that matter 'Google Docs'.This time our little Redmond company has decided to compete head to head with 'Google Docs' that allows users to create documents, spreadsheets and other presentations online. In its new Live avatar, Microsoft has unleashed 'Microsoft Office Live Workspace'.

What is Microsoft Office Live Workspace?

Office Live Workspace is an online place where users can store, access, and share documents and files. These files can be accessed from any computer with the help of a web browser. It can be used to group related information for work, school or any other personal projects. These files are protected against viruses by Microsoft's forefront Client Security technology. They can be accessed at all times using Windows Live ID and password. The best of all feature is that Microsoft Office Live Workspace is free of cost.

Initially, Microsoft Live Office Workspace will be available as a beta service to a limited number of participants. Click on the link below to sign-up for beta.

Also check out Box.net - On Box, you can create a folder with your docs, invite collaborators/ co-workers to upload and edit files - effectively creating a shared space online for anyone you wish. We work with a big group of amazing companies to provide things like mobile access to your files anywhere, document and photo editing, e-signing and faxing, among others. Certainly worth spending some time on the site- http://www.box.net.

Take good care and please let me know your thoughts,
    Kendra
