Everyone is excited about the HP MediaSmart Server, it was probably the biggest thing at this years CES, but when launch time came HP took a page out of Microsofts' notebook and delayed it.

HP blamed the delay on Microsoft, they said they needed some sort of patch.

So where is the patch? Apparently HP already has it and Microsoft will be announcing it Tuesday (Provided they don't change their minds). During a Pepcom Press Event Microsoft told people in attendance, that HP already has the code and Microsoft will officially announce it on the Windows Home Server blog on Tuesday.

Hopefully HP will also announce a launch date for their home server soon. We have actually contacted HP about a launch date but have not received a response as of yet.
