Joost has signed a partnership agreement with Paramount Pictures, for movie distribution. The movies will be launched in the UK, France, Germany and Spain to start off with, and more countries to come in the near future.
So I’m sure you’d like to know what kind of movies you’ll actually get. Not the new ones, but the classics. Like Patriot Games, Star Trek: Insurrection, The Golden Child, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and more from folks like Harrison Ford, Kathrine Hepburn, Jack Nicholson, Michael Douglas, and Clint Eastwood. The movies will of course be available on demand, and more movies will be added along the way.
The deal puts another notch in Joost’s belt, as the start-up has penned a distribution or advertising deal with just about every possible company in the world. Paramount’s other web 2.0 efforts this year include a partnership with MySpace to hold a virtual casting call via the popular social network.
