The Windows Live Photo Gallery allows you to “edit, share photos and videos”. You can import your pictures from your digital camera, and the Windows Live Photo Gallery will automatically organize them into events based on date and time. Keep your images organized by name, date, rating, and type. Locate similar pictures with tags you add.
You can also create a panoramic view by combining multiple photos. The new panoramic photo feature in Windows Live Photo Gallery which you can download as part of the Windows Live Pack which wraps up all the various Live apps and puts them in a convenient and easy to use installer.
With the new version of Live Photo Gallery they’ve updated lots of stuff including the import experience which is much nicer and more flexible in terms of selecting the photos you wish to import and it does some intelligent grouping so you can tag stuff much quicker:
Here are some photos from the speaker prep room at Mix UK 07. So from five photos with no real precision in terms of lining them up, just press the Make Panoramic Photo and it stitches them all together…
Once you’ve created the panorama, you can then share to the cloud using the Live ID sign-in and it will publish automatically to your Live Spaces account.
