Apple Inc. will offer a $100 store credit to people who bought the iPhone before the company slashed the price by $200, the company’s chief executive, Steven P. Jobs, said in a statement today.
The offer applies to customers who bought iPhones at either Apple or AT&T stores and who are not receiving a rebate or other consideration, Jobs said in a letter posted on Apple’s Web site, at www.apple.com/hotnews/openiphoneletter/.
