The Microsoft Action Pack Subscription is designed to give you the software, tips, tools, and specialized partner resources that help you expand your skills, increase your opportunities, close more sales, and support your customers as a Microsoft Partner. One of the biggest requests we have received from Partners around the world though has been to raise the bar around requirements to be able to purchase the Action Pack Subscription. Why this request? Because unfortunately, there are some out there who purchase and use the Action Pack Subscription in direct violation of the terms of the Agreement.

To this end, we have recently announced an upcoming change in the eligibility requirements to purchase the Action Pack Subscription, including a new online-training and assessment requirement. The new requirements will be put in place to help eliminate those who should not be using the Action Pack Subscription from being able to receive it. In addition, we will be adding several new Special Edition Toolkits, such as the Microsoft Small Business Specialist Community Edition and the Web Solution Provider Edition.

Thank you to all of the Partners that have provided us the input and feedback about your concerns around eligibility and requests to heighten the requirements for the Action Pack Subscription and hopefully you will agree that this is a beneficial first step to ensuring the Action Pack Subscription remains a valuable and useful resource for those Partners truly committed to providing solutions based on Microsoft technologies to their clients.
