The WordPress 2.2.1 RC2 is ready for testing, try it out, and drop a comment, if you have any problems with it. The 2.2.1 RC2 carries many bugs fixation in widgets, xmlrpc, atom feeds, and other areas. It also addresses security issues found in xmlrpc and phpmailer. All changes made since 2.2 can be viewed here. A list of all bugs fixed in 2.2.1 is here.

In case, if  no nasty bugs discovered in the 2.2.1 RC2, it should be released within the next couple days.
