BradNeuberg on Dojo blog announced the beta release of the Dojo Offline Toolkit, a toolkit for offline web applications. The download file is about 11Mo, but the client runtime is just 300ko that have to be downloaded once. You can try Moxie, a web-based word processor bundled with Dojo Offline, and the first offline application built with Dojo Offline Toolkit.

Dojo Offline is a free, open source toolkit that makes it easy for web applications to work offline. It consists of two pieces: a JavaScript library bundled with your web page and a small (~300K) cross-platform, cross-browser download that helps to cache your web application's user-interface for use offline.

See the official web page for docs, presentations, demos, screenshots, demos, downloads, and more!
