Clipmarks, which is a 2.0 hybrid of del.icio.us, StumbleUpon (profiles and networking) and Digg (voting via ‘pops’), has opened their social bookmarking and tagging data in their new search engine, ClipSearch.

Social bookmarking search is slowing giving users the ability to search the hidden web, which may not be obtainable via traditional Google, Ask, or MSN Searches, as pages which are not linked to or relatively new usually experience an indexing delay.

What services like Clipmarks, Yahoo’s del.icio.us and Looksmart’s Furl.net bring to the table is the publishing of these obscure and noteworthy sites, and as these companies slowly integrate this information and external meta data into their indexes, web coverage and findability will expand.
