While Devil May Cry 4 may have abandoned PlayStation 3 in favour of  Xbox 360 and the PC, it sounds as if Capcom's 360 games won't be heading the other way anytime soon. That's the word from the Japanese publisher, who state there are no plans to create Lost Planet or Dead Rising titles for the PS3, or indeed the Wii, "as far as current plans go."

Having explained the company's shift over DMC4 on the PS3 by stating that Capcom are "committed to making its titles available to as wide an audience as possible," Capcom bigwig Christian Svensson was then forced into clarifying the status of these two titles, with PS3 fans smelling blood.

"The quote delivered above references our strategy moving forward, not something that is necessarily retroactive. You can see evidence of this with our previously stated [Resident Evil 5] plans going to 360 and PS3 simultaneously," Svensson explained.

Svensson concluded stating that a non-disclosure agreement prevents him clarifying the situation regarding Dead Rising and Lost Planet, which if nothing else hints at more to come in the future.
