The Times, MCV today reveal that this Saturday's edition of the newspaper will include an eight-page guide to Blizzard's seminal MMORPG, as well as a full copy of the game.

The disc bundled with the weekend edition will include a free 14-day trial of the original MMO (sans The Burning Crusade add-on pack), and will no doubt further swell the game's already hefty ranks of subscribers - especially in the UK. As far as we know, this is the first mainstream tie-up for an MMORPG, and demonstrates the wide appeal of Blizzard's game, which has more than eight-million subscribers worldwide.

The free game was advertised alongside a column on the various attractions of the game, in which Caitlin Moran explains how she became addicted to the game, in a piece titled My Life As A Bearded Dwarf.
