Sony has a new firmware update for the PS3. Next time, when you'll turn on your PS3, it will come up as a mandatory update. Currently, the US Playstation site shows nothing about this update, but the Japanese Playstation site, through google translate, states that the firmware update might have something to do with the ability to connect a digital camera to the PS3 through USB cable and being able to view the pictures and the AV-Chat has a zoom feature.

Here’s what’s been officially updated:
The image of the person you are chatting with during video chat can now be changed to match the screen size.
You can now use a USB camera compatible with USB video class (UVC) for video chat.]
