Windows Genuine Advantage and Office Genuine Advantage both feature new diagnostics pages, introduced in concert with today’s launch of WGA Notifications tool in countries around the word. Microsoft additionally revealed that the WGA Notifications page has also been revamped to contain additional information in relation to the internationalization of the tool.
“In addition to our recent upgraded new look and feel today the team published new diagnostics pages for WGA and OGA. I really like the new look and feel of the site. It’s a much cleaner look and I think improves the usability of the pages too. In addition to an overall lighter and cleaner look (which I think improves the usability of the site) we’ve also gotten some new branding. I really like the new masthead and also the new placement of ‘validate’ buttons for both Windows and Office,â€? stated Alex Kochis, senior licensing manager on the WGA team.
Via the newly published diagnostic pages and support options, Microsoft customers will be able to obtain information about their system’s configuration before the deployment of WGA and OGA. Microsoft will now inform the users over the scripting status, image displays, the System Date and Time and the Microsoft Genuine Advantage ActiveX controls loading process followed by the connection to a validation server.
“Also just published is new expanded content that describes WGA Notifications, what it is, why it should be used and how it works. The new content is presented in an easy to read way and includes a screen by screen walk through of the installation and validation process,� Kochis added.
According to Microsoft, Genuine Microsoft Software websites are currently available in Arabic, Chinese (Hong Kong S.A.R.), Chinese Simplified, Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Indonesian, Thai, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
