A Sony executive announced to 1up.com that they will be adding a movie download and rental service to the PS3 online service. This time, they are only about 4 months or so behind Microsoft which isn’t bad considering the PS3 tends to be further behind. It appears Sony wants to basically mirror and copy the Xbox Live service. I’m waiting for Sony to come out with something original. They really need to step their game up soon or all will be lost.
