Barry Schwartz posts about a WebmasterWorld thread and the theory of smaller pages outranking larger ones in Live Search results.

WebmasterWorld member crobb305 posts that by minimizing the content on a page, his site was pushed to the first position in MSN Live Search:

I reduced text on my homepage down to just a paragraph or so, with links to my internal pages.

The content reduced from 22k to about 5k.

Within 2 days, the page went from page 5 to page 1 for a competitive phrase.

Does such a theory explain the presence of so many blogspot blogs and ‘dorrways’ ranking highly with Microsoft?
