NBC Universal has teamed with Vivendi Game’s Sierra Online and Microsoft Xbox Live Arcade to develop a new space combat game based on the TV series ‘Battlestar Gallactica’. Apparently there are already nerdy sci-fi people around the world holding celebrations. The game will be a first-person style space combat game that is single player or multiplayer online.

Battle Star Gallactica has become somewhat of a cult hit and should be a popular download. The game will not be available on shelves. Only Xbox Live, Scifi.com, NBC.com and Sierra.com will have the download available for purchase. I’m definitely looking forward to it myself. I watched the old show growing up all the time. I have yet to see any episodes in the new series on NBC.
