Category Converter Plugin

Category Converter lets you condense categories, those you’re not be blogging anymore on your blog into a shorter list. Seems really useful if over time you want an updated category list while maintaining the posts.

Condense wordpress categories
Rename categories
Add categories
Delete moved categories

Installation & usage:

Download Category Converter Plugin, and extract to a local folder.
Upload extracted category_converter.php file to wp-content/plugins/ folder.
Activate from the plugins page in WordPress admin panel.

After the plugin is activated, click on “Go To Plugin” to use it. (Also in Options tab under Category Converter)
Under the category that you would like to move, click “move to”
Choose the category you would like to move to and then hit submit.
