Lego may already be flavour of the month on other consoles, but until today nothing had been sighted on a Nintendo format... that is until Eidos lifted the lid on Bionicle Heroes for the Wii console. Like past Lego videogames, the new Bionicle outing with be crafted by Traveller's Tales, we're told.

The new adventure will see players off on a quest in search of the 'Mask of Life', which is apparently located on a mysterious island called Voya Nui. Naturally, the publisher reckon that bringing the game to the Wii console will open up a world of possibilities which were unavailable to Bionicle on other platforms.

"We're delighted to be able to bring Bionicle Heroes to a platform as innovative as the Wii," beamed Scott Dodkins, Eidos Europe boss. "The unique control mechanic will provide a completely new gameplay experience and will immerse the player even further into the world of Bionicle."

Bionicle Heroes was greeted with mixed reviews on other platforms, the general consensus being that the game was solid, but lacked the magic that made Lego Star Wars such a success.
