According to industry insiders, Microsoft is gearing to launch the Xbox 360 console in the People's Republic of China sometime within the "next few months". Preparations for a launch in mainland China have been underway for some time now, as the company has been conferring with the government's culture and information ministries to ensure the console meets local regulations. Microsoft has also been looking to partner with local Internet service providers and PC vendors, in an effort to appoint authorized sales agents for Xbox 360 in the PRC.
