unAPI Server plugin is “a tiny HTTP API for the few basic operations necessary to copy discrete, identified content from any kind of web application.” The server provides records for each WordPress post and page in the following formats: OAI-Dublin Core (oai_dc), Metadata Object Description Schema (MODS), SRW-Dublin Core (srw_dc), MARCXML, andRSS. The specification makes use of LINK tag auto-discovery and an unendorsed microformat for machine-readable metadata records.

Installation

  1. Download unAPI Server plugin, and extract to local folder.
  2. Upload extracted unapi folder to wp-content/plugins/ folder.
    Note: ensure that the folder is named unapi only.
  3. Goto WordPress Admin panel and activate it from plugins page.
  4. [OPTIONAL] Choose an identifier prefix — an arbitrary string — and enter it via the unAPI submenu of the Options menu, but the default will likely work for you.
