Slideshare, a joint venture of Rashmi Sinha, Jon Boutelle and Amit Ranjan, based in Mountain View, California (USA) and New Delhi (India), is a free service for sharing presentations and slideshows. You can upload your PowerPoint and OpenOffice presentations, tag them, embed them into your blog or website, browse others' presentations, and comment on individual slides. It's a great way to share your ideas with others, or to learn from other people. It currently support PowerPoint (PPT and PPS formats), and OpenOffice (ODP format).

Like Goolge Video and YouTube, Slideshare too lets you embed presentation into a blog or web site. It's pretty easy, first you view the presentation on SlideShare, and on each page, you'll see a text box called "embed", with code something like:

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="blah blah blah" width="425" height="348"> <param name="movie" value="blah blah blah" /><:/object>

Once you gets the code, just copy and paste it into a blog posting or web site.
