Bob Buffone, Chief Architect of NexaWeb Technologies has created a online AJAX application called Send Me a Pic that allows you to search Flickr's database and create Mobile Phone Wallpapers out of any photo you want. That's right, every photo in the Flickr database can be a Wallpaper for your phone.

How it works:

  1. Search Flickr's database for the perfect picture!
  2. Size the picture to fit your phone! To create the perfect image, select the Make and Model of your phone by Clicking Here. You can still send the image if you don't know, you just won't be able to Size it! Clicking on an image brings up a tool to customize the image to fit your phone prefectly.
  3. Send the picture! Enter the number of your phone and a Text Messsage will be sent to your phone with a link to the image.

Important! You will need to have web access on your phone in order to download the image. Currently only Sprint and Cingular networks have been tested (Not very well).Verizon phones will receive the text message but the phones seem to disallow you to save it as as a wall paper.
