Google, Blinkx, and 30 Boxes have released three new cool Video, Calendar and Map Widgets respectively. Here is the short description of each:
Map Search Wizard - Put a Searchable Map on Your Web Page: The Google AJAX Search API (Beta) team has released this new Widget, that embeds a searchable Google Map on your web page and let your users find places around you. If you're curious about what else you can do with the Map Search solution, check out the GSmapSearchControl documentation | To get the code for embeding Map in your site. Also look at Platial’s new MapKit, for a different take on map widgets.
Blinkx Wall: The Audio and Video search engine Blinkx has developed Video Wall Widget that lets, website publishers embed a wall of search results preview. The display is fed by RSS, so its contents will change as new search results become available. It could be over the top, but the size and number of nodes in the wall can be changed.
30 Boxed: 30 Boxes now lets you build calendars out of all sorts of information like photos and blogs. You can use calendar data too if you want and you don't need to be a member of 30 Boxes to build one. This form lets your generate the code to link to or embed a calendar on your own website aka widget Mashup tool 30 Boxed, that lets you display RSS feeds and iCal data in an embedded calendar. You can combine multiple RSS feeds, including those for images on sites like Flickr. This could be used to push calendar updates or chronicle events and phenomena.
