The 2006 release includes enhancements in most feature areas, including network services, data providers, messaging services, and transaction integration. Host Integration Server 2006 developer tools run in Visual Studio 2005 and rely on the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. Server-based services and desktop-based tools run on Microsoft Windows operating systems for X86 and X64 processors.
